Kiteboarding lessons from beginner to Advanced!
Once again St. Kitts and Nevis have proven to be one of the best destinations to enjoy one of the most exhilarating and popular sports of our time….Kiteboarding!!
The consistency of the wind is unbelievable. It’s been blowing nonstop for the last 10 days even though the forecast was calling for light wind and some rain. But the wind gods have been good to us and blew all the clouds over quickly and left us with steady, strong winds and sunshine.
Lucky to join us was a group of Kiteboarding enthusiasts who originally came to St. Kitts and Nevis for some work meetings. They were determined to spend every free minute learning and improving their skills on the water.
First to arrive was Ray who had already been kiting for almost one year and wanted to get some tips to improve his jumping. Jeff, the owner of our school and a highly experienced Kiteboarder took him out and improved his riding enormously with just a few tips. Ray learned how to jump higher with more control riding in both directions. Jeff did not stop there, with his enthusiasm for coaching kiteboarding he demonstrated and explained to Ray how to add some more style to his jumping by teaching him some board grabs. Jeff took it a step further and coached Ray through his first back rolls. Ray did not expect to learn any of these advanced maneuvers in such a short time so he showed his generous gratitude to Jeff with a fancy dinner and a $400 tip. Woooahhhhh!!! At the end of the day Ray was totally stoked and determined to get all his colleagues to join him at the beach and share the joy of Kiteboarding with him and the team of St. Kitts Water sports.
So the following day I got to do a 3-hour beginner lesson with Jeff, who was totally new to Water sports but eager to give it a try. Even though he seemed slightly intimidated when first arriving at the beach he quickly became more confident when I explained him all the safety features and got him familiar with the equipment. Safety is our number one priority at St. Kitts Water sports and we never had any injuries while teaching Kiteboarding. Jeff surprised himself with a natural feel for the kite and was confidently body dragging by the end of his lesson. At this point, he was ready to try the board but felt like he needed a little rest and so he decided to come back on another day.
Ray had two more colleagues that would come out to join us the very next day and join us for some more Kiteboarding fun.
Kiteboarding is so much fun. A great water sport for thrill seekers. Great choice, Jeff.
Kiteboarding is always a good choice for heading outdoor. Thanks for the post you shared!
