Every three weeks St. Kitts welcomes the largest cruise ship in the world at Port Zante. The “Harmony of the Seas” is part of the Royal Caribbean fleet since last year and has the capacity for 6780 passengers and 2600 crew members. Every time this ship is in port, Cockleshell beach gets super busy and so do we at St. Kitts Watersports. But this last Wednesday brought us some record breaking Flyboard numbers.

We already expected a very busy day as we had lots of pre-bookings for our “All Day Action Pass” as well as on the Flyboard. The Action Pass is a great package deal we offer for real Watersport enthusiasts. For only $180US you get to do 30min of the following activities: Jet Ski, Flyboarding, Glass Bottom Kayaking, Paddleboarding and 2 hours of snorkeling gear rental. We also invite you to share your Jet Ski, Kayak and Snorkeling experience with someone by adding an additional person for only $35US more.

As we expected many customers for that day we opened up the shop extra early and made sure to have all the Jet Skis including two for flyboarding ready and in the water at 9 am. And promptly the first guests from the cruise ship showed up and rented the Jet Skis. The first flyboarding lessons started shortly after. We had two instructors on two jet skis out at the same time. Two Flyboards were operating all day. By the end of the day, we counted a record-breaking 18 flyboarding lessons between the two. All participants did extremely well and loved their experience with St Kitts Watersports. Flyboarding is a very rewarding activity as it looks a lot harder than it actually is and so the participants surprise themselves by how well they do within their first lesson ever. On Wednesday all our clients were total beginners. Each one of them figured out how to hover over the water within their 30min lessons. The spectators on the beach were in awe.

Everyone on the team worked incredibly hard to provide all our customers with a great experience while visiting the island of  St. Kitts. I even heard more than one client exclaiming that St. Kitts in particular Cockleshell beach and the water sports provided was the highlight of their entire cruise.
